Ted Shawn, an American dancer and choreographer, considered a pioneer of American modern dance,  said- Dance was the first art of the human race, and the matrix out of which all other arts grew. He believed that dance was the fundamental art form from which other creative expressions developed. 

Folk dances reflect the life of the people of a specific country or region. Every region has its unique style, costume, music and rhythm. Folk dances depicting emotion, rituals, and cultures with simple steps passed down through generations.
