Jodhpur is a beautiful heritage city in the Thar Desert, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort, set on a large rock is a major tourist attraction of Jodhpur . The fort overlooks the walled city. Jodhpur is called the blue city because a large number of buildings in the walled city are painted blue. The former palace has now been converted into a museum, displaying weapons, paintings and elaborate royal palanquins (sedan chairs).
