Labrez hai sharab-e-haqiqat se jam-e-hind
sab falsafi hain ḳhitta-e-maġhrib ke Ram-e-hind

(The goblet of India brims over with the wine of truth;
The philosophers of the West behold in him the spiritual guide of India.)

Ye Hindiyon ki fikr-e-falak-ras ka hai asar,
rifat mein asman se bhi ooncha hai baam-e-Hind

(Such is the power of India’s sky-aspiring thought, that her greatness is higher than the heavens.)

is des mein hue hai hazaron malak-sarisht
mashhur jin ke dam se hai duniya mein nam-e-Hind

(This sacred land has given birth to countless Angels; the name of India resounds around the world because of them.)
hai Ram ke vajood pe Hindostan ko naaz
ahl-e-nazar samajhte hain is ko imam-e-Hind

(India is proud of the existence of Ram;
The wise proclaim him the guide and leader of India. )

ejaaz is charaġh-e-hidayat ka hai yahi
raushan-tar-az-sahar hai zamane mein sham-e-Hind

(This is the miracle of this guiding light (India). Her twilight is brighter than the sunrise of the world.)

talvar ka dhani tha shujaat mein fard tha
pakeezgi mein josh-e-mohabbat mein fard tha

(He was skilled with the sword and unmatched in bravery. In purity and in compassion, there was no one like him.)

लबरेज़ है शराब-ए-हक़ीक़त से जाम-ए-हिंद
सब फ़लसफ़ी हैं ख़ित्ता-ए-मग़रिब के राम-ए-हिंद

ये हिन्दियों की फ़िक्र-ए-फ़लक-रस का है असर
रिफ़अत में आसमाँ से भी ऊँचा है बाम-ए-हिंद

इस देस में हुए हैं हज़ारों मलक-सरिश्त
मशहूर जिन के दम से है दुनिया में नाम-ए-हिंद

है राम के वजूद पे हिन्दोस्ताँ को नाज़
अहल-ए-नज़र समझते हैं इस को इमाम-ए-हिंद

एजाज़ इस चराग़-ए-हिदायत का है यही
रौशन-तर-अज़-सहर है ज़माने में शाम-ए-हिंद

तलवार का धनी था शुजाअ’त में फ़र्द था
पाकीज़गी में जोश-ए-मोहब्बत में फ़र्द था
