Brown headed Barbet((Psilopogon zeylanicus)–

The Brown headed Barbets nest in a tree just outside my house every year. They are beautiful birds with a streaked brown head, neck and breast, a yellow eye patch and  green plumage. They announce their arrival in my neighbourhood with loud calls to their mates. Every year I get to capture Brown Headed Barbets in my camera in different poses. It seems like they model specially for me, at times with food in their thick red beak and sometimes with their beautiful green feathers fully displayed.
